Sea Monsters

How do you design an immersive experience to stop traffic for San Francisco Design Week?

While at Cibo, we set out to create a fun, interactive installation that would show SF Design Week guests the power of combining analog with technology.

Designed to be the first chapter in an interactive storybook, Sea Monsters was created to demonstrate how hand crafted design principles can be combined with sensor based game development to create useful and impactful creations. Using Unity 3D Engine with motion sensors, the result is a beautiful game experience where users play as sea monsters that protect the ocean from polluting pirates. It was a simple, low barrier game concept with the message of asking who is really the protagonist and antagonist here.
